PNR.istanbul Exchange II took place on the 26th of April 2019, at the Istanbul Naval Museum.
Foreign Trade Assistant Specialist Oğuz Tekindaş from the Ministry of Commerce – Department of Overseas Contracting and Technical Consultancy presented the “Incentives for Architectural Practices and Suppliers for Overseas Activities”, while SKA Founder Architect Saffet Kaya Bekiroğlu made the presentation titled “e-motion” on his inspirational journey starting from Taşkışla to establish his own global practice.

Saffet Kaya Bekiroğlu / Founder of SKA
Bekiroğlu (ARB, RIBA) received his Bachelor of Architecture degree at the Istanbul Technical University, and his Masters of Architecture with Honors from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). After collaborating with Frank O. Gehry & Associates for five years, Saffet joined Zaha Hadid Architects where he worked on international designs in a variety of scales. Saffet is acknowledged as the co-author of Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, Azerbaijan, along with Zaha Hadid and Patrik Schumacher. Since establishing his own practice in 2017 with locations in London, Istanbul and Cyprus, he has kept his focus on pursuing an architecture of innovation and excellence.

Oğuz Tekindaş graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of International Relations. Following his working as Assistant Specialist in Garment Industry and R&D Department of Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association, he has been working as Foreign Trade Assistant Specialist in Department of Overseas Contracting and Technical Consultancy of Ministry of Commerce since 2015.
